Hi there!
I’m Ellin, a multidisciplinary designer based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
I love fun shapes and textures, primary colours, and making things move. I’m also pretty fond of growing vegetables, my cat, and my 3 chickens.
I have a wealth of creative experience across digital and print design, eLearning content creation, motion graphics, animation, and UX/UI design, and have worked both in-house and freelance with clients in the UK and internationally.
Some key work from the last few years is below, but there’s lots more to see across my portfolio, so please dive in!
key work
album cover
A super fun little project creating a cover for a Scottish hiphop EP, in both digital and print editions (on a cassette tape!)
The brief was to draw on Blue Note design and MidMod style as a reference to the jazz samples used within the music. The client was very satisfied, and I’m now the proud owner of a cassette I can’t play.
core values posters
A project completed whilst employed by eLearning creator GCSEPod. I was given free rein to design something inspirational to be displayed around the offices, reminding staff of the company’s core values.
The colours reflect the company’s colourful branding at the time, and I enjoyed finding ways to echo the value in the content of the poster – even for the more abstract ones!
code of conduct: dei
A short animation designed and created for sub-10 as part of their learning content. This video explores what the concepts of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion mean, and how they relate to a company’s code of conduct.
I had fun putting visual puns throughout to lighten the tone of quite a serious script, as well as to create a thread which tied the visual narrative together.
